The Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID is a secure way to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information. It must be used to electronically sign Federal Student Aid documents including the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students and contributors are required to use an FSA ID, made up of a username and password, to complete the FAFSA.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the federal government’s application to determine financial aid eligibility for most types of financial aid.
Students who are not eligible for FAFSA due to not being a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen may be able to complete the CASFA application instead if they qualify for Colorado ASSET.
