Family celebrating with their graduate

As part of its land grant mission, Colorado State University’s Tuition+ Promise is a means for undergraduate Colorado residents to access and achieve their higher educational goals.

Colorado State’s Tuition+ Promise utilizes federal, state, and institutional grant funds to cover a portion, or up to all of a student’s share of base tuition for students who have a qualified family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA).

Eligibility requirements:

To be eligible for the CSU Tuition+ Promise, students must:

  • Be a Colorado resident for tuition purposes
  • Be enrolled full time (12 or more credits, including at least one Resident Instruction, on-campus course) at the CSU Main Campus pursuing their first bachelor’s degree
    • During the summer students do not need to be enrolled full time to be eligible. They must be enrolled in at least 1 regular instruction course.
  • Have submitted the FAFSA or CASFA by:
    • May 1, 2025 if enrolling for the fall 2025 term or
    • October 1, 2026 if enrolling for the spring 2026 term
  • Demonstrate financial need on the FAFSA or CASFA
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Have attempted fewer than 130 credits (does not include transfer credits)
  • Provide additional information if requested

Note: Receiving the CSU Tuition+ Promise is dependent upon the availability of funding.
