The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) award offers a reduced tuition rate for those new first-time, non-resident freshmen, from a WUE eligible state, who meet the below stated academic criteria. WUE scholars who meet the selection and renewal criteria can receive this award for up to a total of eight (8) semesters, or until their degree is complete, whichever comes first. First-time, non-resident freshmen who meet the criteria will receive a letter (to their mailing address on file) stating they have received the award; this letter will also list the terms and conditions of the award. It will also be noted that they are a WUE scholar on the financial aid “Awards” page of their RAMweb. Award letters will begin to be mailed in mid-October.
To be considered for the WUE award, first-time, non-resident freshmen must be seeking a degree through Colorado State University’s main campus (not CSU Online), be a resident of a WUE eligible state, meet the below stated criteria, and have submitted a complete Application for Admission by the priority date of February 1st, though WUE will continue to be awarded on an on-going basis until August 1st provided funds remain available (WUE will not be awarded to students starting in the summer semester).
For 2017-2018, the annual estimated value of the WUE award is $9,561 (based on 2016-2017 tuition and fees); amount subject to change based on tuition and fees for each year.
